Jason Murakami, who created the Griffith University Innocence Project after attending the Cardozo Law School in New York in 2001 and thereafter provided more than two decades of pro bono assistance and legal access to claimants of alleged wrongful convictions, has been appointed to the prestigious Griffith University Governing Council to further the university’s standing as one of the most dynamic and successful tertiary institutions in the country.
Jason, an Adjunct Professor of Law, said he was proud to continue his long and successful association with Griffith University since his days as a political science student at the university’s Nathan campus in the late 1980’s.
